PODCAST: When Lightning Strikes – Living with Brain Injury

Backed by decades of experience producing exceptional clinical outcomes, Kintinu Telerehab connects recovery to everyday life. In this podcast, we explore hot topics in rehabilitation, the keys to personal growth and recovery, and how to apply it all to the real-world.

In this episode of Kintinu’d Conversations, Brad Dexter, Claire Thelen, and Tim Benak welcome Tess Sunderland to the podcast. Tess shares her journey over the last 10+ years of living with a brain injury. Twelve years ago, a lightning bolt came out of a mostly clear sky and struck the young archaeologist while on a dig in New Mexico. The bolt nearly killed her, resulting in an anoxic and traumatic brain injury. Her injuries were so severe she required months of hospital care and more than a year of intensive rehabilitation.

We hope the conversation is enlightening and informative. You can learn more about Tess’ story here.
