“There is always going to be negativity around us, but we get to choose how we enter every situation. We can choose to be a positive, proactive force in the world. Or we can choose the opposite.”
-Molly Weisgram
Backed by decades of experience producing exceptional clinical outcomes, Kintinu Telerehab connects recovery to everyday life. In this podcast, we explore hot topics in rehabilitation, the keys to personal growth and recovery, and how to apply it all to the real-world.
In this episode of Kintinu’d Conversations, Brad Dexter, Claire Thelen, and Tim Benak welcome Chris Maxwell to the podcast. On Valentine’s day 2019, Chris was unexpectedly diagnosed with a severe case of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. He was immediately airlifted to the hospital, where he became a quadriplegic on a ventilator in less than a week.
Without any warning, Chris and his wife Molly embarked on a dangerous journey–one they traveled together but separately, forced into the roles of patient and caregiver. During their shattering year-long experience, they faced uncertainty, trauma, and incomprehensible mystery. They also experienced deep truth, growth, and transformation.
Chris sits down to share his story of recovery and hopefulness with us. If you’d like to learn more about his story, we would highly recommend his wife Molly’s memoir, The Other Side of Us.
